I have been an active person all my life, I joined the Horsham Joggers in 1984 and have been associated with the club ever since. Some years ago I decided to combine my interests of swimming, cycling and running and joined Horsham Amphibians. In 2012 I achieved my aim of completing the Wimbleball Half Iron Man.
My love of sport developed when in 1986 when I started playing Cricket for Horsham Cricket Club. During my 27 years with the Club I have captained both the first and second team and I am currently a Vice President.
In 2002 I qualified as a Personal Trainer and Studio Cycling Instructor and have continued to enjoy setting fitness goals with people and seeing them achieve these, from weight loss to beating their personal best times in races and events.
I have always believed in the importance of health promotion and injury prevention and I wanted to build on my Personal Training skills to enable me to go one step further and so qualify to be a Physiotherapist.
During my degree I was lucky enough to work along side one of GB athletics lead Physiotherapists, where I learnt the latest techniques in treating athletes. This was the catalyst to my goal of providing all people with this level of treatment & care.
Since qualifying as a Physiotherapist I have set up The Physio, Fitness and Wellbeing Company which combines all the aspects of health promotion that I feel passionately about. We offer one to one Physiotherapy assessment and treatment, soft tissue massage, sports massage, a Personal Training service, courses that support and enhance peoples fitness and performance such as HARDCORE – a core stability course and BOOTCAMP. We will also be launching our POWER TURBO CIRCUITS course later in 2013. We also offer holistic treatments such as reflexology, Indian head massage and counselling.
I am registered with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, the Health Professionals Council and have full Professional Indemnity insurance.
